Aluminum Formwork System

Product Description

Aluminum formwork is a construction system used to form the mold for pouring concrete structures such as walls, floors, columns, and slabs. It is made from high-strength aluminum alloy, which provides a lightweight yet robust framework for shaping and supporting wet concrete until it sets and gains sufficient strength to support itself.

The aluminum formwork system comprises several components designed to interlock and create a precise mold for concrete structures.

The primary components include:

Wall Panels: These are modular panels that form the vertical faces of walls. They are designed to be lightweight for easy handling yet sturdy enough to withstand the pressure of wet concrete.

Beam and Deck Panels: Used to form horizontal structures like slabs and beams, these panels ensure a smooth and level finish.

Soffit Panels: These support the underside of slabs and provide a smooth finish to ceilings.

Prop Heads and Props: Adjustable supports that hold the formwork in place and bear the load of wet concrete until it sets.

Corner Panels and Fillers: Specialized panels are used to create corners and fill gaps, ensuring a seamless and continuous mold.

Tie Rods and Pins: These secure the panels together, maintaining alignment and stability during the pouring process.

Types of Aluminium Formwork Systems

Aluminum formwork systems can be categorized based on their design, application, and adaptability. Understanding these types helps in selecting the most appropriate system for specific construction needs.

   Panel System

The panel system is the most common type of aluminum formwork. It consists of standard-sized panels that can be assembled to form walls, slabs, columns, and beams. This system is highly versatile and suitable for various building designs.

Features:

Modular design allows for easy assembly and disassembly.

   Reusable across multiple projects.

Suitable for repetitive construction tasks, making it ideal for mass housing projects.

Tunnel Formwork System

The tunnel formwork system combines the casting of walls and slabs in a single operation, creating a monolithic structure. This method is efficient for constructing repetitive cellular structures such as hotels, apartments, and student housing.

Features:

   Accelerates construction speed significantly.

Produces highly durable and earthquake-resistant structures.

Provides uniformity and consistency in construction quality.

Table Formwork System

Also known as flying formwork, the table system is primarily used for constructing horizontal structures like slabs. Large table-like units are assembled and moved horizontally or vertically for successive pours.

Features:

Reduces labor requirements due to large unit sizes.

Enables quick repositioning and reuse with minimal dismantling.

Ideal for projects with large floor areas and repetitive layouts.

Customized Formwork System

For projects with unique architectural designs, customized aluminum formwork is designed to meet specific requirements. These systems are tailored to accommodate complex shapes and structural elements.

Features:

Provides flexibility to achieve intricate designs.

Ensures precise dimensions and high-quality finishes.

Though initial costs are higher, reusability offsets expenses over multiple uses.
